Adorable little chair from the Napoleon 3 period. Very good condition.

This adorable napoleon III period (late 19th century) child's chair is a real treat! It is made of blackened pear wood and offers the usual strong contrast between the black and the gilding, which is numerous here. On the backrest, very nicely arched at its base, we find a bunch of grapes, floral scrolls as well as large ornamental leaves. The rungs, made of very worked turned wood, are also covered in gilding. The seat has been professionally redone with a velvet fabric perfectly in line with the style and the period. It is studded around the edge and despite some rubbing, is in very good condition. The 4 legs are once again very worked, nicely gilded and connected together by spacers including the front one, decorated. Some signs of wear and usual repairs but it is stable and in excellent general condition. Perfect for decoration in a bedroom, a living room, or for a child's room. H: 64 cm. W; 39 cm. D: 33 cm.
