Description
This is an antique Gaudy English Imari condiment set (salt, pepper and mustard) with flowing blue bands, applied flowers and rabbit head finials, made in Staffordshire, England in the 1880s-1890s. The cobalt blue, rust and gold Imari or Gaudy English pattern is on all five pieces in the set. There is still a lot of gold trim on the applied flowers and pearl trim. The set is in very good condition with no chips or cracks but has some wear to the gilding which is normal for the age and material. This beautiful set is very rare and hard to find, especially in this beautiful condition. Height without lid: 6.5 cm. 12 cm X 13 cm X 6.5 cm. Weight: 500 g. This display stand has been in my family since the late 19th century.
