Danish Rosewood "Lotus" Extending Dining Table by Dyrlund, c. 1970

A stunning, unfolding "lotus" dining table by danish makers dyrlund. Made from rio rosewood with brass trim, it dates from circa 1970. Diameter: 110cm / 150cm height: 72cm. It features ingenious extending mechanism in four parts. Each leaf opens like a petal, extending the surface from 110cm to 150cm in diameter. In its larger form it can comfortably seat up to ten. It is in very good condition, recently re-finished with hard-wearing lacquer. The rosewood grain is rich and florid. The dyrlund label is affixed to the underside.
