This oil on canvas painting was made by gerben van der meer and signed on the back by the artist with his name and‘ herfst ‘05’ (fall, 2005). The self-taught artist van der meer starting painting after a career in education. He was mainly inspired by the frisia landscapes that he abstracted in his work with colour areas. He was fond of the square shape of paintings, as a manner of limiting the image to the canvas itself. Wooden frame, in good condition. H: 69 cm. W: 69 cm. D: 4 cm.
