Overmantel mirror

1930s/art deco style overmantel mirror in solid oak. Beveled silver mirror dated 08/20/1930. I had to saw the sides of the molding at the top of the frame, since part of it was missing on the right side, and remove the veneer which was damaged (and partial). The frame uprights are now straight and sleek. The ice is slightly pitted in places. Which gives it all its old charm. It had to be removed to facilitate painting. This allowed me to discover that underneath the plywood plate pointed at the back, everything was moldy. So I was able to clean, sand the plywood sheet, apply hard primer and varnish to both sides, and finally repoint it, completely clean! The frame has been sanded and painted (sage green shade).
