Scandinavian sofa designer Ingmar Relling for Ekornes, 1960s

This Scandinavian sofa was designed by Ingmar Relling and produced in Norway by Ekornes Svane in the 1960s. It has been completely reupholstered with a French manufacturer's fabric, fireproof, Aqua Clean (stain-resistant), and Oeko-Tex treated, and Bultex foam. It has a medium to firm density, ensuring good support. It emphasizes support and elegance. Three people of average height can sit comfortably on it. Its teak frame has been cleaned and waxed. The seat lifts onto a small hammock-style storage area. One of the sofa's cushions can be moved onto the shelf to extend it and make it an extra bed or a daybed. We chose yellow for its sunny side, which will match many interiors. The fabric has a soft feel. It is in very good condition. H76 x W192 x D72.
