Description
very beautiful decorative object in glazed stoneware with dripping, forming a very large asian-style teapot. Belgian work from the city world-renowned for its stoneware work: bouffioulx. Work from the middle of the 20th century, period 1940/1950. Bears a hollow signature on the back resembling the signature of jean guyaux, a potter in bouffioulx in the middle of the 20th century. Very pretty pottery work, with a pretty floral decoration whose colors vary from beige to brown. The volume of the piece is impressive, synonymous with a great mastery of artistic pottery. A beautiful iridescence of a turquoise blue is visible in the beige. The signature, to be validated, resembles that of jean guyaux, a valuable potter from bouffioulx, whose artisanal productions are less numerous than guérin but of exceptional quality. The set is in a very good state of conservation, only the lid has a chip on the internal edge, and a small chip at the base of the input button. The rest has no defects, no breakage, no cracks or repairs. Work reminiscent of the art deco period, very artistic and floral typical of this period. Dimensions of the object: h35cm l23cm d17cm weight of the object: 1.9kg.
