Vallauris service dish by Laurent Jacques and Juliette Mazaudois
€50 €65
Description
We fell for this little vallauris serving tray. It is amazing because oval, which was not the preferred form of the time. The choice of its colors and geometric patterns also contrasts with the somewhat kitsch patterns found on this kind of dish. The intuitively drawn black paint strokes that delineate the colour squares give it a little naïve graphic air. It is signed 'lj' for laurent juliette (laurent jacques and his wife juliette mazaudois) a couple of ceramicists from vallauris, who participated in the revival of ceramics by breaking the somewhat conformist codes in the 1950s. Note two tiny chippings on the edge of the plateau very little visible. Length: 33.5 cm. Width: 17 cm.
