Nice duo of vintage cactus planters or cache pots from the 70s-80s, brutalist style, japanese, handmade ceramic enamel style wood/scales/lava. Unknown origin, anonymous, but beautiful workmanship. Large, slightly flared cups, round, wide and relatively high, on slightly flared bases. Textured wood-style enamel, patterns reminiscent of large scales, in shades of gray, white, dark and light brown for one. The other is more in shades of brown, red, white and beige. The white enamel is foamy, "lava" style. Brown glazed interiors, hollow feet. The first (dark brown) is a little larger than the second, 19cm in diameter at the top and about 13cm in diameter at the bottom, 8.5cm in height for the cup. 13cm in total height. The 2nd (red) 18.5cm in diameter at the top and about 12cm in diameter at the bottom, 8cm in height of the cup, 13cm in total height. Both in very good condition, a little use. The 1st has a manufacturing defect on the foot, extremely discreet firing cracking, as well as a chip on the lower edge of the foot, also very discreet. The 2nd has an internal manufacturing defect, firing cracking, quite significant, but it is not detectable from the outside. Approximately 800-900gr each.
