Vintage Glass Vase made by Phoenician Glass, Malta, 1980s

This lovely glass vase was made in malta in the 1980s. It is in the tones of blue and white, with a striped pattern, and it has a stylish shape perfect for a small bouquet. It is signed 'phoenician malta' on the base. It is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Approximate size: height 19 cm X diameter 9 cm. Phoenician glass was founded in the 1980s by leonard sullivan, an ex-worker from the well-known maltese glass factory mdina glass. As a result, many of the early phoenician glass designs were similar to designs by michael harris at mdina. Phoenician glass was named after the ancient phoenician civilisation, which colonised malta during the first millenium bc.
