Bauhaus Erich Dieckmann armchair from the 30s

This piece is attributed to the talented designer Erich Dieckmann, considered one of the most important designers of the Bauhaus movement with Marcel Breuer. His work reminds us that modern furniture could remain functional in highly attractive forms. Seat in dark beech with curves, and covered with braided rope. Normal traces of time and minimal cut strands but this in no way alters its beautiful general appearance. Height 73cm width 62cm depth 56cm. Seat height 36cm.
