Modernist lamp by SCE for Habitat circa 1970

Superb lamp in pure modernist style circa 1970. Art deco-inspired model, in the style of jean perzel's productions, manufactured in france by sce (société centrale d'eclairage) and distributed by habitat under the name "lampe new york". During the 50th anniversary of the brand in 2014, it will be selected among the 50 cult and emblematic objects in the history of the brand. The polished chrome metal base supports an inverted dome diffuser in white milky glass. The lamp measures 53 cm in height including 38 cm for the base. The diameter of the base is 21 cm, the dome 27.5 cm. The wire is 150 cm. In excellent condition (we note 2 small pits of the chrome under the globe, invisible when the lamp is placed), ultra qualitative (nearly 5 kg), this very beautiful lamp, very design, will become a remarkable piece of your interior by diffusing a soft and warm light.
