In 1931, thanks to the help of jacqueline apollinaire and on the advice of pierre matisse, the young albert skira, then twenty-five years old, convinced pablo picasso to illustrate ovid's metamorphoses with 30 etchings. Picasso's off-text etchings, centered on 15 myths, are of a rare homogeneity, in a style with pure contours and a discreet eroticism. Support: fine white laid paper from the luxurious paper mills of bellerive. Very nice quality. Sold without the marie-louise. Dimensions: 22 X 28 cm.
