This functional and minimalist freestanding wall unit is a true example of scandinavian mid-century design at its best. It is an entirely modular shelving and storage system called “ergo de lux” which was designed by john texmon for blindheim mobelfabrikk and made in norway in the 1960s. The combination of shelves and dresser offer a versatile mix of display and storage options, making it ideal for living rooms or offices where both aesthetics and organization are crucial. The design of this wall unit allows you to adjust each component according to your needs. Ergo features an exceptionally elegant assembly system. The holes in the rails are beautifully shaped, enabling an intuitive arrangement of components in any configuration. Each of the parts can be placed lower or higher. You can also interchange them if you like to. The set consists of: A dresser: h: 47 / w: 78.5 / d: 42 cm (internal height of drawers: 12 cm) 2 shelves with side and back panel: 21 cm deep. 1 shelf: 21 cm deep. 2 teak rail supports, each 203 cm. Brass hangers, pins and furniture dowels. The wall unit has been checked by our team. It is in fantastic vintage condition and has undergone only minor restoration. The "made in norway" stamp on the back of the dresser and one of the shelves confirms the authenticity of the piece. The drawers, doors, and mounting mechanism function properly and smoothly. The wood has been refreshed using professional compounds.
