Stoneware salad bowl by alain magne - la borne large salad bowl in chocolate and honey tones alain magne (1952-2014) was a renowned french ceramicist, recognized for his significant contributions to the art of ceramics in france. At the age of twenty, he chose to become a potter, abandoning a career in industry. He trained in the studio of pierre digan and janet stedman, acquiring solid skills in his field. In 1977, alain and his wife chantal settled in la borne, a hamlet near neuilly-en-sancerre, known for its rich pottery tradition. In their studio in la brossarderie, alain devoted himself to throwing the pieces, while chantal took care of the glazing and firing. Their production is distinguished by pieces in pyrite stoneware, partially glazed with ash, often wood-fired, reflecting a natural and authentic aesthetic. Height 11 cm diameter at the neck 33 cm in good condition. Careful packaging and fast delivery.
