Set of 18 slip knife holders modeled by the ceramic artist denise picart in the 1940s, probably in valaurie in the drôme where she worked in the workshop of her renowned cousin paul pouchol. Denise picart, whose production was rare and delicate, collaborated with the primavera du printemps workshops directed by colette guesden, her works, emblematic of the rare feminine productions of the time, appear at the museum of decorative arts in paris. These lovely and delicate slips are in very good condition with the exception of 3 pieces with missing parts on the foliage (see the 2 penultimate photos which include the 3 with defects) and a micro-chip on the reverse on another piece invisible when laid. Each piece is engraved with the initials dp -4 varieties of fruit: cherries, strawberries, pears, peaches, x4 or x5. These small pieces are currently unique on the market. They will be meticulously packaged per unit and protected by several layers of bubble wrap if shipping is desired. Check out my store for other charming and rare tableware items!.
