Charles dudouyt is a french designer known for his art deco creations. He mainly used rustic and modernist materials. The technique used for these chairs is that of turned wood. It is a woodworking method in which a piece of wood is held on a wood lathe and turned on its axis while a cutting tool is used to carve the desired shape. This technique, born in the 17th century in england, is commonly used in the creation of art deco furniture. The structure of the chair is made of wood and the seat is made of wicker. Good original condition, some traces of wear. Restoration visible on one of the feet.
