Azilal rug

This Berber rug was made by a woman of the Berber tribes in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This carpet would have originally been made by a Berber woman for personal use in her own home. She created it with wool, and permitted herself personal freedom in expressing her own creativity and values through north African symbology and colors as she wove these designs. This piece is one of a kind, and can be used as a rug or wall hanging. Newly handknatted azilal carpet. Ivory background with very pretty pattern in beautifull colors. Medium pile.
