Pascal Etchenic (born in 1948) opened his own studio in Paris in 1973, after a few years spent in the Juan Benito and Spencer studio. In 1983, he moved to the Côte d'Azur. His work transcends Mediterranean landscapes. Between figuration and abstraction, it seeks to express feelings that are sometimes in opposition, such as serenity and exaltation, by combining vibrant colors, brought to saturation. The beauty of the colors suggests an immediate impression of strength, energy, and radiance. Bathed in light and contrast, his painting is defined in a remarkable harmony on the vertical and oblique planes with large horizontal areas that regulate the space. Today his works are present in many galleries in France and abroad.
