Stonehenge midwinter stoneware service, made in england. Service of 46 rooms including: 2 oval dishes. 1 butter maker. 1 cocote. 1 bowl. 6 cups with 6 subcups. 11 large plates. 12 hollow plates. 12 small plates. Stoenehenge midwinter marking under each piece. For the condition, note stripes, 1 small plate with a crack crossing and 1 small plate with a crack not crossing. No shocks, no jumps, no cracks on the rest of the whole. Midwinter pottery was founded as wr midwinter by william robinson midwinter in burslem, stoke-on-trent in 1910 and had become one of the largest pottery in england by the late 1930s with over 700 employees. Midwinter pottery production ceased in 1987. Many of the pieces produced by midwinter in the 1950s and 1960s have become collector's items, typical of the styles of those eras.
