“Scissor” chairs by A.Citterio and P.Tuttle for Flexform

Pair of "Scissor" chairs or armchairs by A. Citerrio and P.Tuttle for Flexform (Italy) circa 1980. Heavy and solid but very elegant, an X-shaped frame in chrome steel on which the leather has been stretched, this chair is a postmodern interpretation of a classic mid-century icon. This rare version is in thick black leather imitating snakeskin. Both are in original vintage condition with visible scratches, creases and cracks in the leather, particularly to the fasteners, one in particular is more damaged at the seat. But both are still operational as is and, for enthusiasts, can be subject to leather restoration. . The low price for this pair of course takes these details into account.
