Description
Carpet persian shirazbor, tied hand in wool on wool, beginning of the XX th century around 1920-1930, adorned with nine medallions with floral decoration on the fields to dominance beige pink studded with a stylized bestiary, hens, dragons, camels, and many flowers and stars. The whole is decorated with lots of fancy and without too much concern for symmetry. The white main border enclosed in other borders to primarily décor of flowers and a seesaw. The finishing is made way kilim followed fringe for about three centimetres on both sides. Shiraz or Shiraz rugs originate from Iran in the province of Fars, sector of the city of Shiraz, and knotted by nomads, the production of these mats can carry the Shiraz name or the name of Gashghai. Dimensions: Width: 158 cm x length: 197 cm This mat is in very good condition and has a very slight wear, and has been cleaned professionally and ecological.
