Two Siesta armchairs by Ingmar Relling for Westnofa Norway 1960
Description
Designed in the 60s for the westnofa editions by the designer ingmar relling (1920-2002), a major figure in scandinavian design, these "siesta" armchairs with a high back are aptly named. Made of stretched canvas, rope to tie it to the structure, curved rosewood and leather of exceptional flexibility, they offer intense ergonomics and comfort. They are also very light. These two first-hand chairs, one of which still bears the manufacturer's label, are in exceptional condition. They were bought in the 70s and have served very little since. The leather of the seat and backrest in one piece removable, the padding foam and the structure have not suffered any damage or wear. A must, or rather two! Size. Height 98cm X width 72cm X depth 86cm. Seat height 40cm.
