Set of two Romanian wool fluffy rugs with stripes made by hand

Natural white fluffy rug with red and gray stripes, romanian handwoven runner rugs fully made in wool. The wool is its natural colour white and gray and the red is tinted, the rug is made by hand using traditional techniques in the pitoresque region of maramures, north romania. 115x 65 cm. Vintage items in good conditions, few parts with a bit of colour migration. There were profesionally cleaned, ready to be used. In romania, years ago, every mom handmade for her daughters beautiful carpets and rugs as dot for their weddings. I grown up with this: every winter, at my grandmother' s house, women from the village, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool rugs or other handmade items. Nowadays the art of handcrafting rugs is almost extinguished. Now, we are trying to discover and put into the modern design context these beauties. This is our story.
