Description
This sideboard / credenza / cabiinet was designed by famous designer and photographer willy rizzo in 1972 and is from his "alveo" series produced by mario sabot. This is the rare version in elm burl wood. A truly breathtaking piece of glamourous italian design in hollywood regency style. It is entirely made of the elm burl and is finished front to back with veneer wood with a gorgeous honey and caramel color grain. The sideboard has three drawers atop three doors that reveal useful and capacious shelving units. The central drop-down unit with flip down door features a light that illuminates the unit when opened. The front of the sideboard which could also be used as a buffet features round shaped gilt brass handles. Gilt brass detailing along the edges anchor the wood from the top to the bottom, all resting on a rectangular shaped gilt brass socle. The gold color of the metal's details works as a chic contrast to the burl wood in both color and texture. Both dimensions and lines of this gorgeous cabinet make it ideal for contemporary or modern spaces and for any room of your home. Great eye-catching piece in a living room, lounge, dining room, bedroom or dressing with a quality to last. Lean it against the wall or on the back of a sofa, or use it as an unusual room divider in the middle of a room. Good structural condition, good exterior condition with just some minor weae. One of the insides of the handle has a damage that is almost not visible. Please see close-up pictures.
