Pair of Iroko Science Lab Cupboards from 1950

A stunning set of 2 mid century science lab cupboards with single drawer. Inside the cupboard is a small shelf on steel brackets. Each cupboard has a single drawer with beech sides and iroko drawer front. Iroko is an african timber often used as a substitute for teak. The cupboard and drawer have a metal insert at the back of the handle to slot in labels. I have put in a piece of black matt cardboard for effect. Brass hinges, fittings and brass screws all original. The cupboards have a wonderful patina after decades of use. Very sturdy cupboards for school use and would make excellent bedside cabinets. Height: 710mm. Width: 460mm. Depth: 310mm.
