African bamileke coffee table decorated with cowries and coins

Bamileke stools and coffee tables are originally part of the royal furniture of the many chiefdoms of the bamileke ethnic groups (west cameroon). These majestic pieces decorated with cowrie shells and pieces are handmade on a single block of tree trunk by african craftsmen and finished by carpenters. These stools, traditionally used as royal seats, now serve as decorative pieces, seats or coffee tables. They are so versatile and so fabulous that they beautifully add an elegant touch to a space.
