Japanese linocut “Sacred walk” of a torii in the forest of Miyajima e, limited edition

Here is a handmade linocut representing a Torii in the middle of the forest on the island of Miyajima in Japan. Although the island of Miyajima is very popular with tourists for its famous Torii Itsukushima Jinja, multiple walks in the heart of the forest are also possible to visit the island from another angle. During these quiet walks, far from the crowds, where only the sound of birds reigns, and the wind in the trees, you will be able to contemplate statues full of moss, jizô and other small sanctuaries on many occasions. You may also have the chance to meet this magnificent and imposing Torii which will stand on your way. I still remember very well the special atmosphere at this place. A calming scene bathed in the light passing through the trees. A souvenir that I wanted to engrave to add to my Japanese linocut collection. This limited edition print is entirely handmade on Wenzhou paper and in A3 format. Sold without mount or frame.
