Description
A beautiful mid-century celestial globe. This rare, decorative and educational globe represents the night sky and the alignment of the main constellations visible from Earth. The globe rotates on two axes and sits inside an aluminum base. Lines of longitude are marked at 30° intervals and latitude at 30° and 60° from the equator. Designed by Erich Bartel and built by Fâch of Leipzig, East Germany, it would have been used for educational purposes. In very good condition with only minor signs of wear, this is an original piece to add color and interest to any interior! Dimensions: Diameter 30cm
