Description
Soup tureen or vegetable dish in Limoges porcelain from the Ulim factory (Union Limousin), active from 1927 to 1972. This piece dating from the 1940s-1950s presents romantic marquise scenes from the 18th century, made by applying decals and hand-painted with gold paint under floral motifs inspired by the English collection "James Kent Ltd. Longton" from the Romance series. * Ulim porcelain, sought after by many collectors, is distinguished by elegant decorations that are often richly gilded. The factory was renowned for its expertise in applying decals and hand-painting, particularly in gilding. * In very good condition with some scars of time, the piece does not have any cracks, hairs or chips, only artisanal imperfections and erasures, in particular on some gilding at the level of the handles and on the gilding above the lid. * This soup tureen or vegetable dish could perfectly complement an existing service, especially in a similar style of Limoges tableware with gallant, marquise and romantic scenes. Present a good simmered dish such as a blanquette, a bourguignonne, a coral lentil dahl, a colombo or a chickpea curry to amaze your guests on your dining table. * ⚖️1,031 kg. 📏 21 cm dia / 10 cm h. 🌐 instagram: unetouchedepoque.
