Owl zoomorphic smoking ashtray in the style of Pouchain and Baudat

Adorable ceramic owl with a beautiful shimmering glaze in beige, brown and caramel tones. This owl immediately brings to mind the owls of jacques pouchain or guy baudat. This is not signed and this is quite surprising given the quality of this object: very beautiful artisanal work both for the enamelling and for the very fine, very elegant modeling. In addition, this ceramic is very original, I looked for a while to find its usefulness with this opening which is too small to slip a candle in! But I think I have finally found it: it is probably a “smoking ashtray”, these ashtrays were all the rage in the 50s to 70s with in particular the best known, the france liner ashtray from verceram.
