Eames Herman Miller DSW side chairs in greys - umber / grey / greige / parchment

Set of 4 DSW side chairs designed by Charles Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s.  Original fibreglass weave shells in the following colours (left to right in first image): elephant grey, light greige, raw umber and parchment (off-white). Dimensions: Height 81cm Depth 53cm Width 47cm Seat height 45cm The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully. All with original Herman Miller stamp.  Mounted on walnut dowel bases (these chairs can alternatively be supplied on maple or oak bases, if you would prefer). In very good overall condition, with just a couple of very small scuffs and marks here and there to the edges of the shells, in keeping with their age, but nothing too noticeable. A stunning set of chairs - a totally classic, very collectable set. The seats and bases will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired - please let us know in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
