Chinese ball suspension

Large japanese suspension in paper and bamboo. It dates from the 1960s and was part of the furniture of a castle near nantes. This model can be found in the archival photos of the steph simon gallery in paris, which included charlotte perriand and isamu noguchi. It can also be found in archival photos of danish designer hans wegner's house. It is still in working order, but the paper is stained or torn in some places.
