2548 - carafe about "alsace depose d.d" f. T. Legras (1839-1916) – art nouveau. From the art nouveau period, this carafe without cap with subject listed in the catalogs of 1886-87, 1895 and 1908 of the verrerie de la plaine saint denis of which françois théodore legras was the director at the age of 27 and in the book on this glassmaker of 2012. In good condition, no cracks or slightly scaled chips with micro-scratches under the base. It is made of molded glass marked "alsace depose d.d" and in the right hand the word "courage". The initials d.d are for the distillerie des frères delisy or that of the sons delisy & doistau. These liquorists had obtained the exclusivity of the sale of the model, temporary or not, manufactured at the glassworks of saint denis. There is another model with the inverted position of the arms marked "lorraine depose d.d". François théodore legras was originally from these battered provinces partly annexed following the war of 1870. Height 341 mm X 104 mm. Weight 1000g. Neat and tracked shipment.
