Vintage 1950s staverton bookcase

Wonderful vintage bookcase designed and made in the uk by staverton (dartington, south devon).  in the middle of the last century, staverton manufactured furniture ranges for the crown suppliers and this developed into contracts for crown court buildings and london hotels. The bookcase is solid oak with solid block feet.  it has 5 compartments with up and over glass fronted doors, each compartment divided into 3 sections. Date stamped nov 1959. In good clean vintage condition.  some evidence of wear, commensurate with age, but nothing major. Approximate dimensions: Height: 186cm. Width: 91.5cm. Depth: 38cm. Compartment dimensions: Height: 23.5cm. Width: 28cm. Depth: 26cm. A great piece of vintage furniture - very popular with our customers. At time of listing we have a matching pair of these.
