Hairy object box

Basket-shaped box in brass and glass decorated with two stylized birds worked in embossed work. This unique item is typically the kind of object made by the poilus in the trenches during the first world war. The box comes with its small peel. May contain food after a good cleaning (coarse salt, coffee beans, etc.). Very pretty decorative piece to put in a kitchen or a decor from yesteryear. Very charming.
