Beautiful 'Utrecht' armchair designed by Gerrit T. Rietveld in 1935 originally for Metz & Co. department store in Amsterdam (Netherlands). This is a Cassina Limited Edition (no. 66 / 90) from 2016 called 'Boxblocks' with fabric of Dutch designer Bertjan Pot. The pattern of the fabric pays tribute to the modernist block-shaped appearance of the chair, but also broadens the view beyond modernism. Great graphic and bold appearance and a rare opportunity to bring a design icon into your home. The chair is in excellent original condition and was never used (display example).
