Beech table – 1920
Description
This magnificent mahogany-stained beechwood side table, dating from 1920, is a true masterpiece of cabinetmaking. It rests on four elegantly carved asparagus-shaped legs, slightly curved in a whip shape, and connected by a spacer shelf decorated with a bronze molding. In the center of this shelf, a finely worked spinning top adds an additional touch of refinement. The belt of the side table is also richly decorated, featuring brass scrolls that testify to the craftsmanship of the time. The top of the side table is crowned with carrara marble, surrounded by an openwork brass gallery, adding a note of luxury and sophistication to the whole.
