Description
A pair of modernist table lamps designed in the 1950’s by iconic czech lighting designer josef hurka and produced by napako company as model no.1195. Despite being produced in the 1950’s, the design of these lights is strongly influenced by the pre-war bauhaus aesthetic. This pair was sourced from a villa in brno, where they were part of the original refurbishment. This lamp is often nicknamed the "lantern" for its similarities in the shape and form. The steel base holds the bulb in the middle, the on/off button and the c shaped arm holds the curved round lamp shades. The lamp shades are slightly adjustable. Both lamps are in very good vintage condition. There are no dents; only slight signs of some natural wear and tear on the steel parts and on the painted sides of the lampshades. Both lamps have been recently rewired according to the original design and are fully functional.
