Pot cover signed Brisdou
Description
Small pot cache decorated with superimposed and incised friezes, partially enamelled green and gold. Height: 7.5 cm. Base circumference: 6cm. High circumference: 10cm. Signed under the base lucien brisdoux (1878-1963) - france his father achille brisdoux created his factory in bonny sur loire in the indre, in 1881, his son lucien took over in 1905 in 1927, he created his own workshop. Its production was then exclusively devoted to cast decorative stoneware. He did remarkable work with metal oxides. He liked metallescent enamelling (gold or platinum) with casting effects obtained by spraying creosote, after applying ceramic gold, but abandoned this technique in 1940 for economic reasons. He leaves his workshops many decorative objects (candy boxes, vases, tobacco pots, etc...). He sold his business on june 1, 1956 to jacques breugnot.
