Danish Mid-Century 2-Seat Sofa, Minerva Series by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen, France & So

Dimensions 125 x 80 x 85 x 43 cm (WxDxHxSH) This shapely and comfortable sofa was designed by Danish Designers Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France and Daverkosen. The Mid-Century couch is the small version of the Minerva Series and comes with a solid teak wood frame and the original box spring cushions that have been updated with new foam and new upholstery by Danish primium manufacturer Kvadrat / Sahco. The cushions rest on rubber coated springs - a very lovely detail. The back rest is made out of a solid teak wood frame that sits on chromed steel poles. The back of the sofa is very pleasant to look at and can easily be used as a free standing sofa in larger rooms. The sofa comes with the manufacturer’s metal tag. The wood and the chromed steel poles show only minor signs of wear and tear, like smaller scratches and bumbs. The cushions have been updated with new foam coating and new upholstery. The rubber springs have been exchanged with new black springs. The sofa comes in lovely condition.
