A poetic and delicate work, with its fine curves, this elegant bird in glossy black enameled ceramic embodies the know-how and mastery of swiss ceramist ueli schmutz. Ueli schmutz, born in 1932 in worb, studied at the keramische fachschule bern before perfecting his art in switzerland and germany. Since opening his own workshop in 1959, he has participated in numerous prestigious exhibitions, notably in faenza and winterthur, as well as international events such as those organized by pro helvetia in china and japan.
