Edlef ter haar romeny, komposition, 1961. Acrylic painting on canvas. The work is dated and signed by the artist. Work dimensions 67/92. Framed work. Edlef wybo rudolph arthur ter haar romeny (1926-2017) was a dutch glazier and painter. In the early 1950s, romeny had a studio in amsterdam. In the netherlands, he made a number of stained glass windows and wall paintings in churches and public buildings, as well as four windows in the jonsberg church and windows in the chapel in motala. His visual work consists of landscapes, still lifes, portraits and abstract compositions, made in oil, watercolor, gouache, pastel or in the form of woodcuts. In 1955, he settled in sweden, where his work was influenced by abstract expressionism. In 1962, he spent some time on a scholarship in paris, where he was taught by henri goetz. He has exhibited at home and abroad, e.g. At norrköpings konstmuseum, santee landweer in amsterdam, caravan house gallery in new york, singer museum in laren and gaudí's gallery in madrid. Work in original vintage condition. The frame shows minor signs of use.
