Description
Exceptional! Here is a large mirror of tailor, or couturier, of great rarity, with two panels, surrounded by metal in a style characteristic of the industrial world. It has the 4 hooks of the central part that remains fixed. It is around this panel that the second leaf is articulated, united by its swivel system. The absence of the third makes it possible to obtain a less heavy set and above all easier to accommodate. The triptych was made here diptych for more lightness. The back of each leaf is covered with felt on one side but attached to the wall it becomes invisible) or a blue coating on the other, which protect the back from mirrors. It does not have signature but it wears the style of mirrors famous in the 30s, even if it is rather from the 50s. We sometimes find such large mirrors, but often in the form of fixed canopies, and therefore frozen. This one offers its flexibility of use and its ability to fade, to disappear... Or on the contrary open and return the so-called "ground" image of a silhouette that is targeted. On its own, it is decoration and guarantee of a beautiful presence that says the taste of the people who will expose it.
