The armchair designed by józef chierowski is the most famous and recognizable piece of polish design of the 60s. It was created exactly in 1962 in the lower silesian furniture factories in świebodzice and made a worldwide career. It is a piece of furniture with a very simple construction. Certainly modern. This is how it was perceived more than 60 years ago. Its style definitely differs from other massive armchairs of the early 1960s. The chair has undergone a thorough renovation. The wooden frame was divided into first parts in order to eliminate the gaps created at the joints due to the passage of time and to eliminate the mobility due to the crumbling of the glue. The next step was to remove the old layers of paint and varnish. Finally, the frame was glued together again and painted with teak satin paint. The seat was also disassembled from old layers of materials, foam and belts. Reinforcements were added using medium-hard foam, straps and sheepskin. At the very end, the seat was upholstered in a beautiful water-repellent fabric that is resistant to damage. Dimensions: h62 X w70 X d62.
