Small Oak Icebox – Early 20th Century

This solid oak icebox has a lid on top with beautiful brass hinges. Inside, we discover a zinc-clad tray. Part of this compartment is designed to house a block of ice to ensure the freshness of food and drinks. The bottom of the piece of furniture has a carved door with an entrance and richly crafted hinges. Once opened, we discover a beautiful zinc-covered storage space, allowing optimal preservation of the contents at the time. A lively, carved, and pivoting crosspiece is present under the door. The sides of this furniture are darkened with 3 panels.
