Basin with its brass shovel. Nineteenth century folk art of the netherlands. Basin with openwork decoration in the shape of a stylized fleur-de-lys. The shovel represents a little good woman with open arms, ready to receive the embers of the chimney, in order to fill the basin and accomplish her mission, to heat the bed.
