Description
Roussens j. I Louis XVI period mahogany and mahogany veneer dressing table. It opens with a flap revealing a mirror on the reverse, a top in white veined grey breccia marble and three drawers in the belt. It rests on four tapered legs with rudentée fluting ending in bronze roller shoes. Gilded brass scrapers on each upright. Functional key and locks. (marble formerly restored and usual restoration) Louis XVI period. Stamped Roussens j. I. Roussens - carpenter established in Toulouse. The father was received as a master on March 16, 1757 and the son on February 7, 1784. His stamp has been found on Louis XV seats, even Regency, as well as on Louis XVI seats, but also on a certain number of pieces of furniture. Height 73 cm. Width 88.5 cm. Depth 47 cm.
