Art Deco Metal Pendant Lamp with Frosted Glass Globe
Description
Period: ca. 1920-1940 a beautiful art deco pendant lamp that still has a touch of the earlier art nouveau style. A round ceiling plate holds a vertical stem decorated with three volutes. A band with raised scrolls holds in place a glass globe with geometric frosted glass panels. The metal was once gilded and traces of this are still visible especially in the crevices, resulting in a charming aged patina. The globe is attached to the bracket with small tightening screws. The lamp is not wired. Condition: old vintage condition, but no real damage. Gilding has largely disappeared. There is a rub mark on the globe (see photo). The lamp is not wired. Dimensions: 36 cm height, 13 cm diameter ceiling plate, ± 12 cm diameter globe.
