Important Regional Oak Mirror – Early 20th Century

Large breton mirror composed of an original beveled mirror and a large sculpted frame. The latter is topped with a pediment in relief depicting characters dressed in traditional clothing, dancing to the sound of the breton biniou against a landscaped background. This scene is surmounted by a molded cornice and accompanied by large flowers sculpted at its ends. On each side of the mirror, two turned pilasters are sculpted, depicting a woman and a man standing on a barrel. In the lower part, we find a plant frieze and a molded base. ******** period: early 20th century excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
